This year's 17th Annual Quiksilver "King of the Peak" was blessed with record surf on the same day that original event producer, Kelly Slater, wins his 11th World Title. In Hawaii, they call that good "Mana". Also, ironic enough and worth mentioning was this year's winner, Travis Beckmann, has been under radar for the past year and a half. The KOP mastermind, Slater's original concept with the "King of the Peak" was to have a contest at Sebastian Inlet, and create a different contest format and springboard for up and coming inspired surfers to further their career.
