Sunny and still pretty messy out at Dee Why, but there are waves to be had.
RealSurf &bull Sep 26, 2011
Wind has backed off since this morning, but the surf is still pretty messy. Not the worst of situations and there are half a dozen punters out there having a go at it at 1500hrs. A few keen paddlers getting… Full Story »

Dee Why: Sunday forecast-getting bigger but also getting more messy
RealSurf &bull Sep 24, 2011
Pretty 'orrrrible day out there today on the surf scene at Dee Why. Small, junky and onshore. Didn't see anything really worthwile all day from the beachfront vantage point. Charts are suggesting it'll perk up overnight tonight then into the… Full Story »

Yep, small, but it doesn't look flat
RealSurf &bull Sep 18, 2011
Hello Friends, A tiny south windswell was trying to make an impression this morning at Dee Why, but when I scoped it at 0700 there didn't seem to be anyone in the water. Odd given the sunny skies and light… Full Story »

Dee Why: Magnificence, except for the surf...
RealSurf &bull Aug 29, 2011
What a perfect day. Shame about the surf. However, if you're willing to wait for quite a time- sometimes, a very long while - there is the odd decent wave. Clean conditions, about 24C and sunny. So, even if you… Full Story »

Sunny start but waves are tiny
RealSurf &bull Aug 10, 2011
Hello Friends, Looks as though there might be a brief window of opportunity this morning. At 0730 it was so small that the only person surfing at the Dee Why end of the beach was getting very occasional little things… Full Story »

Sunday good for everything but surfing in Sydney
RealSurf &bull Jul 31, 2011
Hello Friends, Grasping at straws here it looked utterly flat when I checked Dee Why this morning and the MHL buoy is showing 0.5 metres of SE windswell with an average period of 7 seconds, so you'd have to think… Full Story »

Dee Why: FINALLY. Rain has stopped. (at least for the moment) Surf: Big (and mushy)
RealSurf &bull Jul 23, 2011
Finally, the rain has back off-at least for now. Though the charts show there's still plenty of wet sky around. No miracles for the surf though. Even though the odd photo may make it look semi-civilised, it's mostly an illusion… Full Story »

A wet mess.
RealSurf &bull Jul 22, 2011
I didn't see a surfer or even a surfboard from Narrabeen to Dee Why. Not even Collaroy where there are some rideable waves. Swell is a mess at around 6 - 8 foot on the open beaches. Collaroy is smaller… Full Story »
